Why Go

Sofia was built on hot springs, and the bathhouse, in a Byzantine-inspired style, now holds the Museum of Sofia's History. In the square beside it, warm mineral water flows from public taps day and night.

Across the street, the Banya Bashi Mosque was built in 1566, during Ottoman rule.
