Why Go

Dug into the rock below the Upper Barrakka Gardens, the war rooms were Britain's command center for the air and sea war around Malta. In 1943 Eisenhower and his commanders followed the invasion of Sicily from here, and the rooms kept working as a NATO center into the 1970s.
