- Between Madison and Old Faithful. Parking is tight by late morning.
Why Go
It's about 370 feet across. The boardwalk at Midway Geyser Basin takes you right beside it, but the colors are best from the Fairy Falls Trail overlook, a short climb from a separate lot.
Tips
- Go in early afternoon for the best colors, when the steam thins.
