Why Go

From 1942 to 1944, eight people hid in the secret annex behind a swinging bookcase, until they were betrayed. The rooms are left empty, as Otto Frank, Anne's father and the only survivor, wished, and her original diary is on display.

It's one of the most moving places in Europe.
