Why Go

The palace was built in 1778–1781 for the Archbishop of Esztergom. In its Hall of Mirrors, the Peace of Pressburg was signed in 1805 after Napoleon's victory at Austerlitz.

In 1903 workers found six 17th-century tapestries woven in England, telling the story of Hero and Leander, behind the plaster.
