Why Go

Its tower, 115 meters tall, is one of the tallest ever built in brick. Inside is Michelangelo's Madonna and Child, bought in Italy by a Bruges merchant family, the only sculpture by Michelangelo to leave Italy in his lifetime.

The choir holds the tombs of Charles the Bold, the last Duke of Burgundy, and of his daughter, Mary of Burgundy.
