Why Go

Stalls sell fish, berries, reindeer skins and coffee by the water, and boats leave for the islands. The red-brick Old Market Hall of 1889 is lined with food stalls.

At the end of the Esplanadi park stands Havis Amanda, a bronze sea nymph that students crown with a cap every May Day eve.
