Why Go

El Greco was born on Crete around 1541, and the museum holds two of his works, the View of Mount Sinai and the Monastery of St. Catherine and the Baptism of Christ. Other rooms cover the Venetian city, the Ottoman years, the Battle of Crete in 1941 and the study of Nikos Kazantzakis.
