Getting There
About 1½ hours' walk from Štrbské Pleso, or an hour up from the Popradské pleso railway stop.

Why Go

The trail from Štrbské Pleso follows the long path along the foot of the peaks to the lake, where the hut serves hot meals. Nearby, the Symbolic Cemetery remembers those who died in the Tatras with carved wooden crosses and plaques on a rock wall. The lake is also the start of the climb to Rysy.
