Why Go

This was the official home of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, who ruled Hyderabad until 1948. It's built around two courtyards, and the highlight is the Khilwat, the pillared throne hall under huge chandeliers.

The palace still belongs to the family and now runs as a museum of clothes, arms, palanquins and cars.

Tips

  • Pair it with the Charminar and Laad Bazaar on the same morning.
