Why Go

Kings and dukes of the Wittelsbach family lived here for four centuries. The Antiquarium, a long hall of painted vaults lined with ancient busts, is the largest Renaissance hall north of the Alps.

The Treasury holds crowns, jewels and reliquaries, and the little Cuvilliés Theatre is a rococo jewel.
