Why Go

Perlan, 'the Pearl', stands on Öskjuhlíð hill. Its nature exhibition has a walk-through ice cave built from real snow and ice, and exhibits on glaciers, volcanoes and the sea; the planetarium show takes you through an aurora.

The viewing deck around the dome looks across the whole city and the bay.
