Why Go

Prince-Archbishop Markus Sittikus built Hellbrunn in 1612–1615 for entertaining. Guided tours of the trick fountains show hidden jets in stone seats, water-powered grottos and a mechanical theater from the 1750s, a whole town of moving figures.

The park, free to walk, has the glass gazebo from The Sound of Music.

Tips

  • Bring a dry top for the children.
