Why Go

The Ottomans founded Sarajevo in the 1460s, and this market quarter was its heart, with each lane given to a craft. Coppersmiths still hammer coffee sets on Kazandžiluk, and the wooden Sebilj fountain in the main square is where pigeons and visitors gather.

Covered markets from the 16th century, the Brusa Bezistan and the Gazi Husrev-beg Bezistan, still sell silk and goods.
