Why Go
A line in the paving marks the 'meeting of cultures', where the low wooden shops of the bazaar give way to the tall stone buildings of the 1890s. Along the way stand the neo-Gothic Catholic cathedral and the Orthodox cathedral.
Look down for the Sarajevo roses: shell craters in the pavement filled with red resin to mark where people died in the siege.
