Why Go

Peter the Great began the palace in 1718, after Russia took Estonia from Sweden, and named the park after Catherine: Kadriorg means 'Catherine's valley'. The palace shows European paintings in its stucco halls.

The park stretches toward the sea, with the President's office in a palace of its own and the Kumu art museum at the far end.
