Why Go

Toompea was the seat of the rulers, and its castle, with the Tall Hermann tower flying Estonia's flag, holds the Parliament in a pink baroque wing. Facing it, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral was built in 1900, when Estonia was part of the Russian Empire.

St. Mary's Cathedral, the Dome Church, is Tallinn's oldest church, hung with the coats of arms of the old nobility. The Kohtuotsa and Patkuli viewpoints look over the Lower Town to the sea.
