Why Go

King Stanisław August, Poland's last king, made the park in the late 18th century around a bathhouse he turned into the Palace on the Isle, which stands in a lake. Squirrels, peacocks and an open-air theater on an island fill the gardens.

From mid-May to September, pianists play Chopin by the great Chopin monument at noon and 4 p.m. on Sundays.
