Why Go
In August 1944, the Home Army rose to free Warsaw before the Soviet army arrived. The fighting lasted 63 days; up to 200,000 civilians were killed, and the city was razed afterward. The museum, in an old tram power station, uses photographs, film, sounds and a replica sewer to tell the story.
Its film 'City of Ruins' flies over the destroyed city in 3D.
