Why Go

Benedictine monks settled the island in the 11th century; their monastery and cloister now hold a garden and a Game of Thrones exhibit. Paths lead through pine woods to a French fort at the top and to the Dead Sea, a small salt lake for swimming.

The island is a nature reserve, and no one may stay overnight.
