Why Go

The Mozart family rented the third floor from 1747 to 1773, and Wolfgang was born here on January 27, 1756. The rooms hold his childhood violin, his clavichord, portraits and family letters.

Getreidegasse, outside, is the Old Town's narrow shopping street, with wrought-iron guild signs and arched passages through to the squares behind.
