Why Go

Napoleon is said to have called it the drawing room of Europe. On one side, two bronze figures on the 15th-century clock tower strike the hours; on the other, the arcades of the old procurators' offices hold historic cafés, some open since the 18th century.

It's crowded by day and beautiful early in the morning and at night.
