Why Go

Opened in 1792, the Phoenix lived up to its name: it burned in 1836 and again in 1996, and was rebuilt as it was, reopening in 2003. Verdi's Rigoletto and La Traviata were first performed here.

Tours with an audio guide run through the day, or book a seat for an opera or concert in its gilded hall.
