Why Go

Peggy Guggenheim lived here from 1949 until her death in 1979, collecting Cubist, Surrealist and Abstract Expressionist art, including works by Picasso, Magritte, Dalí, Calder and Pollock, whom she championed.

She is buried in the garden next to her dogs, and Marino Marini's rider on horseback faces the canal from the terrace.
