Why Go

Its white dome, ringed by giant scroll-shaped buttresses, is one of the city's landmarks. The sacristy has paintings by Titian and Tintoretto's Marriage at Cana.

Every November 21, Venetians cross a temporary bridge of boats over the Grand Canal to give thanks here.
