Why Go

Behind the church of San Lorenzo, the domed Chapel of the Princes is lined with inlaid marble and semi-precious stones. Next to it, Michelangelo's New Sacristy holds two Medici tombs carved with his reclining figures of Night and Day, Dawn and Dusk.

Lorenzo the Magnificent is buried there too, in a simple tomb under Michelangelo's Madonna.
